Roster and auto-planner
Rondus proposes, you decide
The roster program shows your roster per member of staff and checks it against the rostering group's rules straight away.
- A proposal phase by phase, pencilled into the roster
- You keep what is right, and that is recorded
- Every shift is a code you set yourself, including shift blocks

The auto-planner
The auto-planner builds the roster phase by phase: first the duties, then the clinics, finally an optimisation round. Every proposal appears pencilled in the roster. After each phase you decide what to keep.
Adjustable down to the shift code
Every shift is a code you set yourself: times, valid days, staffing and who may work it. Shifts that belong together, such as a weekend or a duty week, you bundle into a shift block that goes to one person as a whole.
Capacity module
See the shortfall before the roster gives way
In development
The capacity module ties the demand for care to the staff deployed: from budget and clinic templates to the number of shifts that are needed. That way you see months ahead where it gets tight, for every rostering group on one screen.
- Demand and supply week by week, with winter peaks and holiday dips
- At hospital level and per rostering group
- Set up together with your hospital

Why capacity and roster belong together
We stand for a roster that is fair, balanced and efficient. At a time of scarcity in healthcare that only works when demand and supply are matched as well as they can be. A roster can look perfectly fine and still not fit what the department needs.
At hospital level and per rostering group
You set up the capacity module at hospital level, and also at the level of the rostering group. That way it helps you make choices in the roster.
An example: traditionally a particular doctor has a fixed number of clinics and telephone consultations on the roster. If the capacity requirements and analyses show it is better to scale up the physical clinics and temporarily scale down the telephone consultations, the module helps you make that choice and adjust the roster to it.
Demand and supply, week by week
Demand for clinics is not the same every week. There are winter peaks, holiday dips and conferences. A fixed roster does not move with that: it gives shortfalls in the busy weeks and a surplus in the quiet ones. With Rondus, supply moves with demand.
Set up together with your hospital
Every hospital has its own workplaces, waiting lists and staff. That is why we set up the capacity module together with your hospital.
Request inventory
Every request in one place, before rostering starts
Staff pass on roster requests, leave requests and course requests digitally. You see what is going on before you start planning, and you can take stock of individual requests as well. Rondus takes those requests into account in the roster proposal.
- All requests in one place, before rostering
- Individual requests can be gathered too
- The roster proposal takes them into account
Workplace planning
From hospital site to consulting room
Set up your hospital's rooms with a purpose per job group, a fixed occupancy per part of the day and an alternative when space is tight. You choose the kind of room yourself, for example consulting room, flexible desk, meeting room, imaging room, intervention room or operating theatre.
- A purpose per function group
- A fixed occupancy per part of the day, with an alternative when space is tight
- Every kind of room, from consulting room to operating theatre
Leave module
Leave and public holidays shared out fairly
Record leave up to five years ahead. Rondus shares out the requests that are in fairly, in turns, with a minimum staffing level per qualification group. Public holidays carry a weight, so that Christmas counts for more than Whitsun, and your own agreements (for example not Christmas two years running) are kept.
- Requests shared out fairly in turns
- A minimum occupancy per qualification group
- Public holidays weighted, and your own agreements enforced
Calendar module
Training, MDTs and meetings in one calendar
Plan meetings, MDTs and training and assign participants as attendee or presenter. Rondus shows who presented when and checks whether someone is in that day.
- Meetings, MDOs and training in one calendar
- Who presented when
- A check that the person is on site that day
Training schedule
Training requirements the roster knows about
For residents you record the rotation schedule per person. Which rotations someone has completed decides which shifts Rondus releases for that person. If you roster someone for a shift they are not yet qualified for, Rondus warns you. You can override it, and that is recorded.
- Completed rotations unlock shifts
- A warning for a shift not yet qualified for
- Overriding is possible, and is recorded
